Established in the year 1927 and founded by late Mr. Sadashiv Jinabhai Mahimtura, Mahimtura and Company is a legacy law firm in the city of Mumbai. Being one of the oldest law firms in the city, our firm’s partners and associates have gained immense experience over the years. Today our firm has its fourth generation of lawyers ably trained under Shailesh Mahimtura and Bineeta Panchal who are equally actively in practice.
In the initial days Sadashiv Mahimtura and his late partner Roshanally Mazgaonwala, were extensively catering to clients who were money lenders and ensuring enforcement of mortgage deeds and navigating the complexities of debt recovery from debtors through legal proceedings.
Late Chandravadan Sadashiv Mahimtura who joined the firm, sometime in the year 1952, made a mark as one of the most affable attorneys. His immense proficiency came to the fore, with the advent of co-operative housing societies in 1960s’. Our firm’s legacy is because of his hard work, tenacity and his composure. Late Chandravadan Mahimtura handled complex legal matters during the 60s’, 70s’ and 80s’ with a strong clientele base comprising of real estate developers, industrialists, companies and individuals.
Mr. Shailesh Mahimtura, Proprietor of Mahimtura and Company and Bineeta Panchal partner of Mahimtura and Company (Suburban) have carried forward the baton from late Chandravadan Mahimtura. Till date our firm has maintained its reputation for being known for its honestly, integrity and hard work.

Mr. Shailesh Mahimtura, cleared his Solicitor’s in the year 1983. Having over four decades of experience he has over the years handled complex commercial civil litigation relating to immovable properties, companies, trusts and banks. He also handles constitutional matters and has been part of landmark decisions passed by the Hon’ble Bombay High Court and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

Mrs. Bineeta Panchal nee’ Mahimtura cleared her law in the year 1980. Having over four decades of experience in real estate conveyancing and drafting. She is known for her drafting and structuring complex commercial transactions.
